Our services are provided by our highly trained New Zealand Registered Clinical Pharmacists,Nurse and Doctors

Referral
Email the prescription to info@labpharmacy.co.nz and our clinical team will contact the patient for booking (usually within 48 hours)
POAC
Funding
If the patient meets the requirements for POAC funded infusion, send the prescription to info@labpharmacy.co.nz or this can be done online through POAC website and clinic LAB PHARMACY.
Patient has been diagnosed with iron deficiency anaemia and ferritin </= 20 mcg/L and one or more of the following:
POAC FUNDED FERRIC CARBOXYMALTOSE INFUSION
Either Failure of a trial of oral therapy due to significant side effects
(control minor side effects with symptomatic treatment)
or
persistent anaemia after 4 weeks despite compliance with oral iron therapy
or
rapid correction of anaemia is required

Your patients may be eligible for POAC funded infusion.Please send prescription for Ferinject to Info@labpharmacy.co.nz and our Doctors will apply for Special authority on your behalf for funded infusion. (Midwife can prescribe ferinject)

Patient has been diagnosed with iron deficiency anaemia, ferritin is </= 20, and Hb is < 110 g/L
and:
either failure of a trial of oral iron therapy due to significant side effects (control minor side effects with symptomatic treatment),
or
persistent anaemia after 4 weeks despite compliance with oral iron therapy
or
Rapid correction of anaemia is required

Our infusion centre is a specialist centre at Northcote, currently contracted to provide POAC service for Ferinject and Maternity care Ferinject, and Dehydration management service. Our team of Doctors, clinical pharmacists and nurses and midwives onsite supports the integral multi-disciplinary care of your patient.
All services are conducted at our surgical centre at THE LAB, where all necessary equipment for safe monitoring and management is available, such as an Ultrasound, CTG monitoring and ECG.
Our private and comfortable facility provides safe and accessible healthcare. We look forward to providing ongoing care for your patience.
